Details Of Disappearance:

46 Year Old Darleta Kay Wilson-Hurt was last seen in St. Albans WV on December 10th 1986. She had left her son's home and drove to her apartment in Kanawha Terrace. On December 12th, Darleta's Shoes and Pocketbook were found on the lawn of her Apartment Building. Darleta had filed for divorce in April of 1986 from her husband Robert Lee Hurt. Robert Lee Hurt was previously a lieutenant for the West Virginia State Police, However by the time of Darleta's disappearance he was no longer a Law Enforcement Officer. Apparently, Darleta and Robert had agreed on a settlement regarding the property they had lived on off Poplar Fork Road. The property was to be sold and the profits divided. After the property was to be sold, Robert would buy out Darleta's  share for the leftover acreage. This never occurred because Darleta disappeared 5 days before the Divorce Hearing was to take place. Around 7 months later, Robert himself would commit suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. Robert was not only a suspect in Darleta's disappearance, He was also a suspect in the shooting of State Trooper Charles Bowles that took place on June 23rd of 1987.
