The Killing of Brandon Tyree McCullough
* DOB- 11/19/1984 (25 YEARS OLD AT TIME OF MURDER)
* MURDERED- 12-27-2009
* CAUSE OF DEATH- 38 CALIBER SHOT TO HEAD AT CLOSE RANGE. SHORTLY BEFORE 8PM
* LOCATION- OAKS OF BRANDLEWOOD APARTMENTS IN SAVANNAH GEORGIA. (5110 GARRARD AVE)
* 2 FEMALE BYSTANDERS WITNESSED THE SHOOTING. THE SHOOTER YELLED "IF YOU'RE GONNA CALL THE COPS. CALL THEM!" FROM WHAT I HAVE READ NEITHER DID. NOR WERE THEY FORTHCOMING WITH INFORMATION FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND.
* SHOOTER FLED SCENE IN AN OLDER MODEL FORD F-150. WHITE AND PALE YELLOW IN COLOR.
* FROM WHAT I HAVE LEARNED THE SHOOTER WAS DESCRIBED AS BEING AROUND 6'2 AND HAVING A SLENDER BUILD. HE WAS AFRICAN AMERICAN WITH DREADS.
* APPARENTLY HE WAS JUMPED BY A NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS (5 IM TOLD) WHO MAY HAVE BEEN CONNECTED TO HIS MURDER ON A PRIOR DATE. THE PLACE OF THE FIGHT WAS YAMAHA CRAW VILLAGE.
THERE ISNT ALOT OF INFO ONLINE ABOUT THIS CASE. AND ILL PROB SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE ADD TO THIS. THE MOTHER OF THE VICTIM REACHED OUT TO ME AND WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT SINCE. ILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED.

I have been in recent contact with the victim's mother Audrey McCullough who requested my assistance last month. She has requested that I add additional details to this entry. According to the official police report the officer who was called and came upon the scene stated:
"I was dispatched to a shooting. Upon my arrival, I observed the victim Brandon McCullough, laying in a position slumped over with his back against the south wall across from apartment 1123. Brandon still had a cigarette in his mouth. It was still lit. Brandon had a gun shot wound to the head. There was a burn mark contact shot on his hat. There was a slug found in the wall to the right of him. Brandon was still breathing but unresponsive. Brandon was transported to Memorial Hospital. I conducted a canvas of the area. Some people in the complex state to me that they heard one gunshot. They stated they observed a two colored truck leaving the scene. The vehicle was driven by a dark skinned black male. I spoke with two witnesses.
(Withholding Witness #1 Name) Stated that Brandon's sister lived in the complex in apartment #1134. She stated she saw Brandon earlier that day standing in the breezeway. She stated she heard a gunshot also, But did not see who did the shooting.
(Withholding Witness #2 Name) Stated that when she was leaving the apartment, she observed a gray gallant with four males, When she walked out of the breezeway they drove off. A few minutes later a neighbor called her and told her that she heard a gun shot in the building. Witness also stated that a week prior she observed a tall black running out of the breezeway. She then saw Brandon coming down the stairs in tattered clothing, and a shoulder injury.
Forensic, Detectives, and Supervisor was notified and responded. Forensics collected the evidence and recorded the crime scene. A crime scene log was maintained. The victim cell phone was given to detective and Southside Fire Department responded for clean up.
