LARRY HUELS ON FIND A GRAVE
DETAILS OF CASE
On Friday October 26th 1984 Lucinda Huels left home to do laundry at a nearby laundromat at around 9pm. (40th and Busch Blvd in Tampa). According to her son Chris her husband Larry gave her $15 to do laundry. Her family have not seen her since. At around 9pm that night Lucinda's friend Neeka Owens claimed that Lucinda came by her Apartment (Which happened to be the same building Lucinda and her family lived in) and changed clothes. Then accompanied by a third friend Linda Simmons, went out for drinks at the Char-Pal Lounge (Which is now closed and has an interesting history in itself) According to Neeka Owens they arrived around 930pm. The 3 of them started to play pool for around an hour before they split up to mingle with the others at the bar. Some time after they stopped playing pool. Linda was approached by her Ex Husband Sam Simmons. Apparently he was very hostile and began to argue with Linda. (The day prior he had come to Linda's residence brandishing a gun and made some threats. Lucinda was not present at the time of the incident) Apparently they were able to eventually settle the dispute. According to Linda Simmons at some point she started talking to a man named Larry Douglas Moore. He offered her a job that she was supposed to start on the 29th. He claimed he owned a sign making and cleaning business. (Located on Fletcher and Florida Ave.) According to Neeka some of the other names of people Lucinda talked to were a Mike Reed, Buzze, and Keith. According to Neeka there were others Lucinda talked to but she didn't know them by name. And she only provided descriptions. She also stated that she was drinking at the time and not paying a lot of attention to what Lucinda was doing. Linda Simmons stated that she approached Lucinda around 12-1230am when she was leaving with a friend of hers named David. Lucinda was outside smoking pot with several people in the parking lot. Lucinda stated she did not want to go. She told Lucinda to meet her at her residence in one hour. (She never did) Neeka stated that around 1am she asked Lucinda to leave with her and Lucinda refused. Linda and Neeka noticed her car was still in the parking lot of the Char-Pal Lounge the following morning at around 9am. Both Linda and Neeka were concerned and went to Lucinda's residence and spoke to Lucinda's husband Larry. They wanted to see if Lucinda was home. She had not returned. They advised Larry of the whereabouts of the vehicle. Inside the vehicle the clothes were found inside clean and neatly folded but the keys were missing. 2 weeks after her disappearance her purse was found in the Zoo Campground of Busch Gardens inside a Men's Restroom. Her Cash, Driver's License, and Marriage Certificate were inside. To this day Lucinda has never been found or heard from. The following morning in the early morning hours Larry Douglas Moore and a James Williams were found asleep in a car on a corner at 30th and Bougainvillea. They were arrested for Marijuana and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. They were questioned regarding Lucinda's disappearance. When questioned they stated they didn't know where she was. From what I've read the Police did look into both as persons of interests. Moore refused to take a polygraph test. And stated to talk to his attorney if they had any further questions. The Police took pictures of both Moore and Williams as well as their car after they were questioned. As well as placed a hold on the firearm. Lucinda's family believe she would not have left of her own free will. She was planning her son's birthday at the time. Larry searched their residence for any clues regarding Lucinda's disappearance. But could find none. Larry believed both Neeka and Linda knew more about Lucinda's disappearance than they let on.
NEEKA CONNER OWENS-LEPAGE
Sorry, I had to! I found this while doing some research on this case. WOW! LMFAO! What an epic mugshot. Oh and she has had quite a few of them. And she has a fairly recent arrest as well. At one point in her life (According to Police Reports) she was a prostitute.
Only reason I have added this is that Larry Huels believed both Neeka and Linda new more about Lucinda's disappearance than they were letting on. I tend to agree. I have been unable at the moment to locate Linda Simmons. However I am working on that.
AMANDA "MANDY" DENNIS
In April 1992 Lucinda's daughter Deanna received a call from a woman who claimed to be Lucinda. She stated she had run away years ago to escape from the stress of being a young wife and mother. She stated she had been living in Tennessee and Arkansas. The family invited the woman thought to be Lucinda back home to live with them. The woman looked amazingly like Lucinda. She even had a corresponding scar on her left leg. She seemed to know some things about the family enough to convince the investigators as well as the family. She lived with the family for around 5 months before she turned out to be a runaway from Arkansas named Amanda Dennis. Blood Tests confirmed she was not Lucinda. Amanda Dennis would later state that she never knew Lucinda. Wouldn't be the first time a Con Artist would fool a family. And it won't be the last.

Some have speculated that she could be a victim of serial killer Bobby Joe Long. I am not gonna provide a whole lot of info on this pile of shit because I do not believe him to be involved. Can't believe this sunuva bitch is still sitting on Death Row. Long has denied any involvement in Lucinda's disappearance. I don't believe there is any evidence that points to Long. Just like in the Tammy Lynn Leppert case and Christopher Bernard Wilder. It looks to be a coincidence for now. The biggest knock against Long being involved for me is that he dumped his victim's bodies anywhere. He was very careless. And if he had something to do with Lucinda. I believe they would've found her body by now.
MY THOUGHTS
Not a whole lot to go on here. I will say right off that I don't believe Lucinda left of her own accord. Family members state that she was pretty caring towards her kids despite being so young. And that she had future plans. So I don't believe she up and left. Larry is documented as saying that they didn't have an argument the night she left. According to her daughter Deanna, Lucinda was a party girl. She loved to party. She had went out previously around once a month. When she did she came home around 3-4 am. Occasionally she wouldn't come home at all. Apparently this led to many fights between the two of them. And that she wrote many letters to Larry telling him she was sorry and how she would try and stop. Only to do it over again. He did see her in possession of marijuana on a few occasions and she was known to drink. I am not trying to blame the victim here. She was a young mom. She had some growing up to do. We all did at 17. I do think she unwillingly put herself in bad situations. The people she hung around with and did drugs with don't sound like a good crowd. She did however have good influences in her life. She just tended to be swayed by the bad ones. It's pretty obvious to me that her intention was to party that night. It wasn't to do the laundry. Doing laundry was an excuse that Lucinda used often to go out with her friends. Her Red Purse was discovered 2 weeks later by a James Reehner (Campground Employee) in a men's restroom at Busch Gardens Campground. It was under a bench by the showers. The purse was placed in the Lost and Found until he found out the purse was owned by a missing person. Interesting that it was left in a Men's Restroom. It is a Campground. One could assume that a woman could go into the Men's Restroom and plant the purse there. Or you could assume a male placed it in there as well. I just don't understand the reasoning for it. It was obviously placed there. No one tried to get rid of it. The purse contained her Florida Driver's License, Marriage Certificate, and several Coins. Among other various items. For the record I do not believe Larry had anything to do with Lucinda's disappearance. There are plenty of potential persons of interests in this case. I do believe Lucinda to be deceased. I am assisting the daughter at this point and will keep you apprised of developments.

UPDATE: 3-6-2018
I was able to get ahold of Larry Douglas Moore's Ex Wife. Danette informed me that as I gathered from what I read. Moore was not a good person. But I was not able to find him to question him because he is deceased. She did say she never heard him talk about Lucinda. Which doesn't mean a whole lot. She left me with the impression of being sincere and honest. She did state she remembers him speaking of the incident of being arrested for possession and having a firearm. But like I said. He didnt say anything about Lucinda. Will keep you aprised of further developments.

Gordon "Gordie" Page Jr.
Page has been missing for almost 26 years, according to Sgt. Bryan Muir from the Kent County Sheriff's Department. Page reportedly walked away from a group home in Cascade Township. He is described as being a quiet, high-functioning autistic man.
"Gordan mentioned he wanted to live with his dad, who was from outside the area," Muir said. "His dad dropped him off at the group home facility and was never seen or heard from again."
At the time Page went missing, he was 28 years old, meaning he would be in his mid-50s today. At the time he went missing, Page was six feet three inches tall, an average weight with blue eyes and reddish brown hair. Page is reported to have a difficult time communicating, but has the skills to function in society on a limited basis.
Muir said if anyone -- especially from the group home where Page was staying -- has more information, it would be helpful to their investigation.

ROBERTS CONNECTION
Apologize for the length of time it took me to actually update Tammy's entry. I have alot going on in my personal life and I don't get to blog nearly as often as I would like. If you are reading this and also read my previous entry regarding the UnFound Podcast. Ed and I covered the Disappearance of Tammy Lynn Leppert. I also alluded to a few things that I haven't actually blogged about. Having said that, I have made some progress with the case in the last few months. First off I was able to find out that Keith Roberts, The last person we know to see Tammy alive was recently re-arrested earlier this month.
What a Stud Muffin Huh?
His
middle name had eluded me for awhile. I figured it was Alan. But
there are a couple with lengthy Criminal Records in the area. The
name isn't uncommon unfortunately. I was also fortunate enough to
have been in contact with one of his ex-wives. Terry Lynn. And no she
isn't Tammy. Terry had some interesting things to add to my
investigation. She married Keith in 1985. Around 2 years after Tammy
vanished. And Keith wasn't a very good husband. He physically beat
her numerous times. And stated on a few occasions that "You'll
wind up like Tammy". And was arrested for it on at least one
occasion. Although charges were later dropped. If you read my
previous entries I leave the Roberts aspect kinda wide open because I
knew so little about him. I now believe he is a very good suspect in
whatever may have happened to Tammy. Terry Lynn, As I stated in the
UnFound Podcast didn't come across to me as a bitter Ex-Wife. She
stated things in a very matter of fact way. And didn't have anything
bad to say about Keith. Other than what happened. She also happens to
have 2 kids with him. (Both have since grown up) She also elaborated
that Keith's mom's brother, (Keith's Uncle) was a Police Officer in
Melbourne at one point. And that Keith's mother at one time was a 911
operator. Now I am not trying to allude to someone assisting Keith or
bringing family members in on some kind of conspiracy. Those are just
interesting facts. And as I write this I want to be sure to say I am
not doing so to cast aspersions on someone else's character. As far
as I know. Keith is just a bad apple from a good family. Terry Lynn
also elaborated on how Tammy met Keith. Apparently none other than
through Linda's Galaxy Production Studios on Merritt Island. He was a
"Male Model". Yeah, That's right. He modeled Mugshots
apparently;) Well, Not then but he certainly does now. Geez, I dunno
how a guy that looks like that now could ever have been able to pick
up a girl like Tammy. Something else that was discussed in the
Podcast was the fact Suzanne informed me that she was under the
impression that Tammy WAS in fact 3 months pregnant. Now this is
something Debbie disputes. I think that if this is true it only adds
a little more to the Roberts aspect. Could he have been the father of
Tammy's baby? I asked Terry Lynn this. And she thought it was very
possible. I also asked her if she thought Keith was involved or knew
what may have happened to Tammy Lynn Leppert? She is convinced he
knows. I'll keep you posted on further developments.

I want to emphasize that Ed's Podcast UNFOUND is the BEST Podcast regarding Missing Persons there is. It has no equal. And I want to thank him for trusting me to present Tammy's case in an objective fashion. As well as I want to personally thank Tammy's Sisters who I have spoke with at lengths regarding their sisters case. I did message both on Facebook Messenger prior to being interviewed. And I didn't get a response back from Suzanne. And Debbie didn't have a good time. So we went ahead with what I have blogged about regarding the case. DETAILS OF CASE:
Melissa Suzanne Highsmith was last scene in Fort Worth on 08/23/1971. She was left in the company of an adult female who was suppose to babysit the 1 year old. Melissa's mother Alta Apantenco (Then Alta Highsmith) placed an ad in the Fort Worth Star Telegram the same month in need of a babysitter. She was recently divorced and worked as a waitress in a downtown restaurant. A woman who answered the ad used the name "Ruth Johnson". She informed Alta that she had a large backyard and house. And she also babysat other kids. She made plans to meet Alta at her job for an interview but never showed up. "Ruth Johnson" later called her back and stated she really did want the job. However nothing I have read has ever gave a reason as to why she never showed up in person for the interview. I'm assuming she gave Alta a reason. But I have found no elaboration on this aspect of the case. She convinced Alta via a phone interview that she really wanted the job. Alta agreed that "Ruth Johnson" could pick up Suzanne on Monday morning at her apartment at the Spanish Gate Apartment Complex. (East Seminary Drive) Alta was already at work at the time "Ruth Johnson" showed up. (Some newspapers reported that Alta was at home but asleep at the time. I contacted one of Alta's daughters and she verified for me that her mother was at work at the time.)Melissa was being babysat by Alta's niece at the time (Who was also Alta's roommate). Alta's roommate would later tell the police that the woman seemed nice and was "dressed to impress". She apparently wore white gloves as well. (Not uncommon for the time. Even with the humid weather in the Dallas area.) Alta's roommate handed the woman a pink dress, a pair of white sandals, and some diapers for Melissa and "Ruth Johnson" left with Suzanne. Alta returned from work later that day and waited for "Ruth Johnson" to return with Melissa. She never did. Apparently no contact information for "Ruth Johnson" was given to Alta according to reports. Nor was an address as to where this "Ruth Johnson" lived. By 8pm Alta contacted the police. Within a week the FBI also joined in the search for Melissa. Melissa has never been found. Police believe the name the abductor used was an alias. Police believe she may have been a lonely woman wanting a child. The case was reopened in 2006 at the request of her sister. Still no breaks in the case have came.

NOTE: Numerous websites have stated that the roommate said "Ruth Johnson" may have been a man dressed in woman's clothing. I have not seen that in a single article that I have read. And I have read around 50. Not sure where that came from. There may be an article I missed. But I find it suspect that I've read that many and none have repeated that claim. For now I'm calling BULLSHIT.

MY THOUGHTS:
Obviously Alta made a mistake. But I do not believe her to have had anything to do with Melissa's disappearance. Like I stated earlier she was a recently divorced single mom who was working and trying to make it. I just hope and pray that whoever took Melissa took care of her and she has a new identity. And she grew up healthy and in a loved environment. Even if she did. Whoever did this is sick. I can't imagine the pain this family has had to endure over the years. Looks as if Alta and Melissa's father divorced. Then remarried and had more kids. And since divorced again. It's crazy that even with the assistance of the FBI nothing came of this case. I have no clue how the "Man in Drag" detail was added into the case info. I usually only see this in forums. Sites like the Charley Project and others don't have it in the case info.
