Rex: The Disappearance of Jesse Lee Farber

Rex: The Disappearance Of Jesse Lee Farber

I dedicated this entry to one of my best friends ever in life. There are a select few that are very close to me. Ones I trust. And she is one of them. Rachel Carroll has worked tirelessly in an effort to try and find out what happened to the love of her life. She has organized searches herself. She has contacted countless media outlets. She has a large presence online via social media and she has even created a website for Jesse. We've spent many long nights where she is so tired and so stressed about not being able to find out what happened to Jesse. I am saying this because she has become the victim of frequent attacks by person(s) I will not name. Not only is it unfair to her. It's unfair to Jesse and the 2 kids she has with him. Any relationship issues the two had at the time Jesse went missing is not important. What's important is Jesse is missing and she has worked nonstop to try and find him. Rachel is as loyal as loyal gets. Her work trying to find Jesse proves it. Jesse is and always will be the love of her life. Not only does she work nonstop to try and find Jesse, She advocates for other families of the missing and murdered as well. She's unshakable. Any issues anyone has with Rachel can be taken up with by me going forward. She's been through enough. Her kids have been through enough. I love you Rachel, Here's to you. Let's find Jesse.

“There’s a lot of rumors about foul play, about money being owed but there was never any direct evidence found on that, police looked into that. I think it’s possible that he could have fell into one of the many shafts,”

“After he called me at 8:43 p.m. He was really upset and the first thing he told me was to bring guns. He said there were 10-12 coyotes after him that he was in a tree and that his phone was going to die,”

 Rachel Carroll

Details Of Disappearance:

29 Year Old Jesse Lee Farber was last seen by a friend walking towards Tamaqua on Hunter Street on August 11th 2015 at around 7:20 pm. He was apparently walking towards a trail that led towards some coal fields. According to Rachel Carroll, The mother of his two children, Jesse called her at exactly 8:43 pm. According to her he was frantic. She asked him where he was. Jesse stated he was at High School Mountain, Which is an area behind Tamaqua High School. But then he changed his location and said he was in an area behind the Elementary School. Which is on the other side of town. (Refer to the map below)

“I asked him where he was and he said the High School mountain back there. Then he switched it right away to the Elementary school mountain which is across town on that side,” said Carroll.

Route you'd take if you're walking from the High School to the Elementary School. As you can tell by the map, There is a good distance involved. So the confusion on Jesse's part as to where he was is interesting. Since they are a mile apart and according to Rachel he knew the area very well.

According to Rachel, Jesse sounded terrified. He stated he had been chased up a tree by 10-12 coyotes and was scared. He asked her to come get him. And to bring guns. He also stated his phone was about to die. When Rachel asked him to clarify exactly where he was, Jesse's phone died and the call disconnected.

“He finally decided on the High School Mountain. When I asked him where he was specifically, he started to speak but the phone disconnected,” said Carroll.

Rachel immediately contacted a few friends and they went up around the area to search for Jesse. They couldn't find him. Subsequent searches of the area also failed to find Jesse. In December of 2016, A hunter found a pair of sweatpants at the bottom of a tree in the vicinity where Jesse went missing. Jesse's grandparents were notified and they came out to the location. They confirmed the pants were Jesse's. In the same tree, A bag was also found. Inside the backpack there were items that belonged to Jesse. One being a pin his grandfather gave him. However, Despite finding some of Jesse's items in 2016. The case has gone cold in terms of leads, But not in terms of effort. Rachel continues to schedule and conduct searches of the area where Jesse was last known to be. She has conducted numerous searches behind the High School and Elementary Schools. And she plans to conduct more.
