The Disappearance Of
Melinda Lorraine Jackson Felder
“I just remember her having seizures and I remember her being overheated, overwhelmed, too excited would trigger her seizures. After her seizures would pass through she would lose her memory temporarily for like a few hours. She wouldn’t remember where she was at or who nobody was. Then after she slept it off for a few hours she would be ok.”

Details of Disappearance
33 Year Old Melinda Lorraine Felder was a stay at home mom who was originally from New York. She went by her nickname "Kandie". Kandie left her home in Conway on July 20th 2006 to visit a friend and never returned home. The name of the friend is unknown. Kandie left on foot as she was known to do since she didn't own a car. She didn't take any belongings with her and she was living with her mom at the time of her disappearance. Kandie was known to leave for extended periods of time, Sometimes even months. But she would always return. It's unclear the exact date Kandie went missing. The report was filed on July 20th but according to her daughter she went missing before then. The initial investigation found evidence she may be residing in Brooklyn, NY. However, Kandie was never located there. Nor has there been any records of her since 2008. Kandie is no longer receiving her Social Security benefits and her Medicaid information hasn't been used in years. Kandie suffered from seizures and needs medication to control them. According to Kandie's mom, A hispanic man came by looking for Kandie in the weeks prior to her disappearance. When he was informed Kandie wasn't there. The man became mad and told her mom "Don't be surprised if you find her chopped up in a dumpster."
